System Restore

On Windows operating systems, System Restore is a feature that restores your computer to a point where it is working fine. System Restore uses the last restore point made as its reference.


Disabling System Protection on Windows 7

?

  1. Click?Start.
  2. Right-click?My Computer?then click?Properties.
  3. Click the?System Protection?tab.
  4. In the list under?Available Drives, choose a drive.

  5. Click?Configure....
  6. Choose "Turn off System Restore".
  7. Click?Apply?then?Yes, and then?OK.

  8. Click?OK?to exit the window.


Enabling System Protection on Windows 7.

  1. Click?Start.
  2. Right-click?My Computer?then click?Properties.
  3. Click the?System Protection?tab.
  4. In the list under?Available Drives, choose a drive.

  6. Choose "Restore system settings and previous versions of files" then click?OK.

  7. Click?OK?to exit the window.

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows Key + X and select System.
  2. Click the?System Protection?tab.
  3. In the list under?Available Drives, choose a drive.

  4. Click?Configure....
  5. Choose "Disable system protection".

  6. Click?Apply?then?Yes, and then?OK.
