Photos of Osama bin Laden Lead to Malware

The world was on a standstill on May 2 when US President Barrack Obama announced the death of Osama bin Laden. After almost a decade since the 9/11 tragedy, Al-Qaeda's notorious leader was killed during a US special forces operations in Abbottabad, where he was said to be hiding.
Naturally, the breaking news didn¡¯t go unnoticed by cybercriminals. TrendLabs engineers found several spammed messages that claim to contain Laden's photos. The message asks the recipient to click an embedded link. This link leads to a site hosting a .ZIP file, which is detected as MAL_OTORUNN.
